About

This exhibition is the first major solo exhibition in China for renowned French artist Annette Messager. It features her representative works from the 1980s to the present, including the Golden Lion-winning work "Casino" (2004-2005) from the 51st Venice Biennale for Best National Pavilion, the recent installation "En même temps 2" (2021), and the large-scale installation "Tête-à-Tête" (2019-2020) composed of 77 paintings. Messager's artistic career began in the 1970s. Unlike her contemporaries who often focused on identity and intimacy, her work seamlessly blends feminist sensibilities with surrealist strategies and techniques.
