About

This exhibition brings together 285 exquisite artifacts from the National Museum of Iran, Gorgan Archaeological Museum, Rasht Museum, Persepolis Museum, Shanghai Museum, Xinjiang Museum, and the Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture Cultural Heritage Institute (Museum). It showcases the splendor of ancient Persian civilization and its interactions with Chinese civilization. Geographically, ancient Iran and China were located at the eastern and western ends of the Eurasian continent, respectively. Historically, both established empires with diverse cultural characteristics. They were the sources of the two major civilizations at the ends of the Silk Road, with a long-standing relationship. Through the network of the Silk Road, these ancient civilizations exchanged goods, ideas, and cultures, greatly advancing the development of human civilization.
