Singer Space - located between Specters and Yuyintang Park (just off of Yuyuan Lu) - will be picking up the slack - taking on a slew of shows originally booked at Yuyintang. So check it out - will be some pretty killer shows there in the coming months. Take for instance - the pairing of COLD SPIRITS and Mayflay Pupils, both hailing from the coastal city of Qingdao. The former is a synth-heavy post-punk act that leans toward the Gothic undertones of the genre with big stirring tracks with plenty of melodic charm. Meanwhile, Mayflay Pupils, empty a more emo-tinted post-rock veneer to their sound, evoking acts like No Party for Caodong. Qingdao represents.
